WARSAW: Atanas composed score for a 13-episode season of Bodo, a costume drama series about a legendary Polish actor. The executive production company is Akson Studio.
Eugeniusz Bodo was a film director, producer and one of the most popular Polish actors and comedians of the inter-war period. An icon of 1930’s Polish popular culture, he also became a symbol for other Polish artists suffering in Soviet gulags. The script, written by Piotr Derwenda and Doman Nowakowski, showcases the stages of both his brilliant career and his personal struggles.
The series is produced by Akson Studio. The shoot for Bodo will begin on 26 May 2015. The show will be directed by Michał Kwieciński and Michał Rosa who are planning to shoot at nearly 300 locations in Warsaw, Żyrardów, Wrocław and Zgierz.
Over 300 actors and 4,000 extras will appear in the series, with Antoni Królikowski as young Eugeniuesz Bodo and Tomasz Schuchardt as Bodo when he is older. The cast includes Anna Próchniak, Roma Gąsiorowska, Michalina Olszańska, Patrycja Kazadi, Piotr Żurawski, Józef Pawłowski, Eryk Kulm, Filip Bobek and Bartłomiej Kotschedoff.
